Have a question? We have the answer! Check out these FAQs and give us a call today for more information.

  • Are sealants necessary for adults?

We’re happy you asked! At Willow Cove Dental, it’s common that we may recommend sealants at your next visit. Some patients have (some) teeth that are great candidates for protective restorations like sealants.

The truth is, primary (baby) teeth or permanent (adult) teeth should be treated the same in terms of preventing tooth decay. Any recommendations that are made for the prevention of tooth decay are for your optimal dental and overall health and will be discussed prior to treatment. For quality cosmetic dentistry, be sure to give us a call today!

  • Why does my dental hygienist recommend fluoride?

Like sealants, fluoride varnish is a protective barrier to help strengthen the teeth, making it easier for the teeth to resist tooth decay. Fluoride is a safe and naturally occurring mineral that is clinically proven to help protect your teeth from cavities. When you need a quality family dentist, give us a call today!

  • When should I start bringing my child to the dentist?

We recommend your child be seen for the first time within 6 months of the eruption of their first tooth or by no later than age 1.

These guidelines we follow are in agreeance with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. After their initial visit, we recommend a good home oral health care routine and a visit to see us for a professional dental cleaning and exam every 6 months. For a quality family dentist, give us a call today.

  • Do you take my insurance?

At Willow Cove Dental, we work with most insurance companies to maximize your allotted benefits and we will be happy to do a complimentary benefit check for you during your visit. However, specific state assistance insurance plans such as BadgerCare/ForwardHealth and Medicaid do not cover services at our office. When you need a quality family dentist, be sure to get in touch with us.

  • Are dental x-rays necessary?

At Willow Cove Dental, our standard of care is very high. For all patients, in order to stay compliant with our state laws, x-rays are required to properly diagnose treatment. If you’re a new patient and don’t wish to have x-rays taken at your first visit with Willow Cove Dental, we would need current images sent over to office@willowcovedental.com prior to your visit to ensure that treatment diagnosis and planning can be done at your initial visit with us. Should you need a reliable family dentist, give us a call today.

  • Do you offer a cash, senior or military discount?

That’s a great question! We actually have an in-office discount plan for patients without insurance. We’d be happy to discuss the options and which plan is best for you at your appointment. Call us today for a quality family dentist.
